Drama Club

At Denton Calvary we try to offer opportunities for everyone to get involved somehow.   Are you interested in the arts?  Do you like to act? Maybe you prefer to be behind the scenes?  Are you a musician?  We need your help!

The Denton Calvary Drama Club began its inaugural season in the fall of 2008.  The season featured two outstanding dinner theater productions.  The first, “If Angels Were Mortal…?”, with a cast of fifteen and numerous volunteers brought us a heartwarming, modern, here on Earth and in Heaven,  story which reminded us of God’s purpose in sending His Son.  The second performance was a Dick Tracy type who dunit with lots of zany twists.  With a cast of twenty-two, “Who Dunit...and to Whom?” filled the stage with suspense and laughter.

In 2012 the drama club placed 4th in the TAPPS One Act Play competition. It was the first time for DCA to compete.

We are looking for students (6th—12th grade) who have a passion for the stage or interest in our behind the scenes work with lights, sound, sets and props.  We are also scouting for parents who are willing and able to help with our productions.  There are many facets of involvement.
